Living Swinky in the Big Easy

Here we come N’awlins!

We are so thrilled to announce that we will be attending Naughty N’awlins, not only as very happy attendees, but also as presenters!!

Laissez les bons temps rouler

It has been a wild and crazy ride, literally since the day we officially created Swinky Life. Covid kicked off a series of unexpected events. As our (my) choice to not immediately jump to virtual workshops put our entire business plan at risk, at the same time, it gave us all more time and bandwidth to support The Accidental Swingers Podcast. That worked wonderfully well.

Also, with us forming an instant quaranteam, it gave our “square” over a year of highly focused time with no other people vying for any of our time or attention, and that had so many unexpected surprises, starting with giving us time to develop deep, meaningful, loving relationships, and fully crossing the line from swingers to poly. (still swingers though… just sayin)

And with that came a deep sharing of passions, and dreams, and loves… this is not the place, and there is not enough space, to discuss the amazing great times and joy that brought into our lives. But the salient point here is, our love of kink, and our shared depth of understanding, and knowledge, and skill, allowed us to dream up some really cool workshops to offer.

And now, after all the work, comes the celebration. And how fitting for us, in Nawlins where we all met, at Naughty, where we all met… we are looking forward to one of the most fun weeks of our lives!

So what are we cookin up?

We will be doing three workshops this year at Naughty Nawlins — First up, our Intro to Kink 101, aka “Why Don’t You Just Fuck?“. The next day will be “Tying Together as One”, our Couples Beginner Rope Class. And finally, “The Ties That Bind”, our Couples Intermediate Rope Class.

But we are also happy that the great folks at Naughty Nawlins have worked with us to place our workshops so that we could be in a playroom for the workshop, and nothing scheduled on the backside. Our hope is that as we finish our workshops, some of our members will choose to stay after class, for a little “detention”.

And for Dessert…

Things are still a bit fluid and in flux, but we are still working on a few last minute surprises. If we get confirmation on any new activities you can be a part of we will post them here, so a few micro-blogs may follow this. But there may also be some plans we keep private and tell you about later!! And of course, Drinks Afterwards…

Both figuratively and literally… Covid also made us much better at food and drink, both making it and enjoying it. If you are going to be hedonistic about food and drink, Nawlins is the place to be. At the very least, we will certainly be hitting some spots around town during the week, and we will try to keep you all abreast of our travels. Come meet us! Sit, have a drink, tell us your story, and lets get to know one another. Because, for us, Swinky is first and foremost about building amazing relationships with amazing people. Some amazing relationships last for years… and some, only for one amazing drink in one amazing place. Still Amazing!
