Hi, my name is Crimson Dragonfly. I am one of the members of Swinky Life, and we are all writing a quick blog to introduce ourselves: This is me..

Swinger. Polyamorous. Kinkster. Sensualist. Slut. Explorer.

My journey into BDSM and consensual non-monogamy began about 7 years ago when my husband (Phoenix Phyre) suggested that we open up our marriage and consider polyamory. What little I knew about polyamory made me say no; I mean we could barely handle our own relationship much less romantic relationships with others. But eventually I agreed to look into it and started reading everything I could find on the subject. Opening Up by Tristan Taramino and the Ethical Slut by Dossie Easton were two books that really opened my mind to all the possibilities out there on ethical non-monogamy. But before we opened up our marriage, we decided to delve into the kink and BDSM world. We went to Fetcon in Tampa, and wow what an experience that was. I was so fascinated by all the rope suspension classes that were offered as well as electric play and beginner impact play classes. I found that impact play can be very cathartic, and I enjoyed letting go and experiencing the emotions and feelings that came up during play.

Fast forward a couple of years, and we finally moved into the world of ethical non-monogamy. I have to say that once we jumped in I never looked back. We started swinging and had a blast, and met so many great people.

A few years later we met a wonderful couple that we instantly connected with, and eventually developed a poly relationship.

Now we identify as poly swinging kinksters, and we are living our best lives. I find that living authentically is so freeing and satisfying, and I could never go back to just plain vanilla.

Soon after meeting, the four of us came up with Swinky Life. But then covid happened, and our plans got derailed and delayed. We are so excited now to finally be getting out and teaching and meeting new people. One of my goals for Swinky Life is to show people that they can change, and that they don’t have to stick with the status quo of everyday life. There is so much out there for people to experiment with, and it doesn’t have to be scary or weird.

I hope to see you at one of our workshops soon! Introduce yourself in the comments, and sign up for our newsletter to keep up with what we are up to!
