The Accidental Swinksters?
As we mentioned in our last blog post, the sister project our dear friends and lovers launched last year, The Accidental Swingers, has done very well. Last year, they focused on telling their story as they got into the lifestyle. This year, they will be shaking things up a bit, and intermixing other formats in with their ongoing stories.
To kick things off, Myrina and Tristan invited us to join them on their podcast last week for a round table on performance anxiety.
Who Wants to Talk About Performance Anxiety?
While performance anxiety is not explicitly a swinky topic, it is a topic that is generic to any sexual lifestyle. Many of the things we discussed do apply in a kink context as well. Aside from that, this blog post represents the official joining of our two communities.
The Future’s So Bright…
In the very near future, you will be seeing more of us with the Accidental Swingers, and more of Myrina and Tristan over here. As we also mentioned in our last post, 2021 is getting off to a blazing start. We have lots of things coming up that we hope to be sharing with you soon, and almost all of this new fun involves both of us. This is no surprise, as we have always been one group of people going after two specific goals which have a good deal of overlap, especially in our audiences.
Why Two Different Sites?
Here at Swinky Life, our primary vision was to introduce swingers to the amazing world of kink, in a positive, accessible, informative, stigma-free way. More broadly, we wanted to introduce EVERYONE to kink in the same way; but you have to start somewhere, and right now, (well, pre-covid anyway) swingers were our tribe, and we wanted our tribe to grow and expand.
At The Accidental Swingers, their primary vision was to introduce non-swingers to the amazing world of ethical non-monogamy, in that same positive, accessible, informative, stigma-free way. But in just this short year, that vision has already expanded to be more than that, to also include the challenges and rewards both personally, and for all your loves and relationships, that can come with ethical non-monogamy, and to explore the ways it can transform your life, e.g. enhanced self-image, renewed vitality and joy, greater social circles, and a stronger sense of community, all at a time in life (50+) when common societal norms may be telling you those things should naturally be declining.
Alternative lifestyles can trigger amazing growth, inter-personally, and intra-personally, and the efforts of both Swinky Life and The Accidental Swingers focus on that same message, but from different perspectives.
What Comes Next?
And so, with a great sense of excitement for the year to come, we are happy to formally begin publicly collaborating, as we have been behind the scenes for over a year now.
Check back soon, as we hope to be posting details of upcoming events in the next few weeks!!
Stay Swinky!
