Announcing Swinkation

You may remember from our post last month about Kinky Caribbean, we teased an upcoming event called Swinkation, and now, we are thrilled to make the formal announcement. Swinky Life, along with The Accidental Swingers, will be hosting our own event, Swinkation, this December at Hedo, produced by the same team that runs Kinky Caribbean.

Swinkation will be a select, intimate group of open minded lifestyle people who are interested in learning more about swinging, kink, or both. All are welcome, regardless of experience level. We plan on having plenty to do to fill everyone’s needs and desires… you can find your hardcore tribe and explore your personal proclivities, you can just hang topless on the beach or by a pool, you can hang out at one of several bars or eating places and indulge your tastes… seriously, there will be more to fill your time than you can imagine.

What Will be Happening at Swinkation?

Workshops

While the final schedule is still being ironed out, we, Swinky Life and The Accidental Swingers, will be teaching several courses. We are also reaching out to people we have met and worked with over the last few years to curate an amazing, and properly focused, collection of interests and skill levels. While all are welcome, the tone and tenor of this event is very purposely aiming for low-key and relaxed… we want to introduce open minds to new experiences, not particularly challenge anyone. And since this is both a swinging AND kink event, there will be a wide range of workshops to fit all interests. Events

In addition to the workshops, there will also be events to entertain you as well. We are planning to have a beach area set up for play and socializing, and from our previous experiences, this can be a hoppin place, and can be busy until late into the night. We are also working to try and get some time with the instructors at the Kama Sutra Palace, to help you re-center and revitalize. We are planning on some Swinky Speed Dating, as well as other ice breakers and pool side events. And of course, all of Hedos events are at your disposal as well, such as theme nights, pool parties, and beach fun.

Excursions

We are also working to provide 2 or 3 excursions to expand your range of experiences during the week. While Hedo is amazing, and there is more to do there than you will have time for, when we went to Kinky Caribbean, we found that the excursions, spending time away from all the sexy lifestyle fun, but still with your new sexy friends, was a great way to see people in a new light, talk about different topics, and get to know them so much better.

Currently, we are considering a Swinky Sunset Booze Cruise catamaran adventure, Snorkeling, Waterfall Climbing, and a Dinner Experience. While some of these are still up in the air, it gives you an idea of what will really be happening when the dust settles. We would love to do them all, but in a single week, 2 or 3 is all that is practical. Stay tuned for final details!

Did we mention… Hedo?

Of course, it is a great start to have an event like this in a location such as Hedo. Hedo is a world class all inclusive resort. They do not self define as a Swinger resort, but rather as a Hedonist resort… whatever your preference, proclivity, or kink is, you are welcome here. And if you are coming to Swinkation, that is the attitude you should come with, as the crowd is almost always quite diverse.

Along with all inclusive all you can eat or drink awesomeness, Hedo has the Nude side and the Prude side. What this really means is, you MUST be naked on the Nude side, and you can do anything you want on the Prude side. But the hot tub and pool, with the swim up bar, where all the main parties are, is on the far side of the Nude side, so the Prude side has a more calm, relaxed vibe. You can always find a perfect spot to be, whether you want full volume fun, or a quiet spot by the water to read a good book.

And as guests of Hedo, you of course have full access to all of the resort activities as well, from theme nights and parties, to special dinners, and snorkeling and water activities, the playrooms and the dungeon.

The Most Important Part of Any Conference is Conferring

While all of that is awesome, by far the most important part of an event like this is the people you will meet. Our goal is to have an eclectic and diverse group coming to this, our first Swinkation. But this is also a small, intimate event, so you can expect to actually get to know some of these people, hopefully well. You will also, of course, have the full group of attendees at Hedo itself for the week to get to know, so while our event will be intimate, your week can be as broad as you like.

As with all Swinky Life events, our goal is to bring together a collection of both swingers and kinksters, and help them learn, love, and laugh together.

Where is Swinkation Going to Be?

At the risk of being terribly redundant, Swinkation will be held at Hedonism II in Negril, Jamaica. Our tent will be set up right on the main beach, which is beautifully tree lined. This has been a hot spot for amazing photography through the years, as the sunsets on the beach are stunning. If you happen to be into rope play, the trees and piers provide great hardpoints for taking awesome rope pics as well. The weather this time of year should be perfect, and the service and hospitality at Hedo is just amazing.

This does mean that if you are seriously interested in going, you will need to make sure you have a passport that is current and in good standing. Our experience also tells us to build some flexibility into your itinerary, as flights can move around a bit prior to your actual departure.

When is Swinkation Happening?

The dates for Swinkation are December 14 – 21, 2024. While we do realize this may be short notice for some to plan such a trip, this event truly did just evolve over the last few months, and the Concations team had a great opportunity to get us those dates for our early grand opening, as getting good event dates at Hedo can be challenging.

As Myrina likes to say, “Give yourSELF a Christmas gift early, so you can be relaxed for the Christmas with your family.”

Open registration begins on July 14th, and there are several layers of discounts, which of course get less and less awesome the closer you get to the event; so if you want the best discounts, sign up early.
