PodFest — Expanding Swinky Life Community

PodFest

PodFest is coming

Next week, the PodFest Global Summit is going on. Among many other interesting things happening there, they are attempting to break an official Guinness world record. We are participating in the event in a few ways, and we want to support this team and their community, so we are also giving them a quick shout out here. You can find all the information for them here… https://podfestexpo.com/

But we don’t have a Podcast?

Right you are… so why are we participating in a PodFest? Well, our great friends over at The Accidental Swingers DO have a podcast, and as it turns out, we are a strong part of their technical team. We have all learned much of what we collectively know together. They attended PodFest a couple of years ago, when they were first wanting to create a podcast, and then when we all got together a little over a year ago, we jumped right in, and went to classes and events with them, and with their vision and enthusiasm, and our technical experience, we have built up both of our online presences this year. Even though the pandemic is definitely a drag on our ability to participate in many of the events we had hoped to be active in this year, we continue to put lots of time and energy into our websites, blogs, and podcasts, as we try to keep growing our initial community.

And we might get a podcast soon…

While the official event begins next week, the “Pre-Conference” has already started, and a big message that we are hearing (and that our experience with The Accidental Swinger has also proven) is that podcasting is absolutely vital to getting out there, getting seen AND heard, and growing your audience. So, after next week, we will begin considering if a podcast may somehow fit into the Swinky Life space as well. If you have any ideas on how that may sound, what you may find interesting, etc. please leave comments below.

Join the Community

If you are in any way involved in the creation or production of a podcast, or if you are thinking of starting your own, I encourage you to join the conference. They even have free tickets, and while you don’t get all the bells and whistles, you do get to see all of the productions, and you count towards the world record goal. You can get your tickets here, and the video below has some good information.

We hope to see you there, and until then, as always, stay safe, and keep it Swinky!
